How To Properly Fold Jeans

Today I wanted to share something a little different: a tutorial on how to PROPERLY fold jeans. You're probably thinking, "well, I already know how to fold jeans so I'll just skip this". And you probably do...but do you know how to fold them like the Denim Queen from Old Navy? Probably not... It took quite a bit of time to figure out how to fold jeans to make them stack up in straight little rows on the denim shelves at the store, but I eventually figured it out. And yes, I was the Denim Queen...in case you were wondering.

Homemaking isn't only about creating beautiful rooms in the house, it's also about doing old boring chores like folding laundry. I'd rather do laundry than dishes, but that doesn't really mean that I like doing laundry. I thought about doing a series on how to fold different articles of clothing, but really I only have very specific ways I fold jeans, towels and t-shirts...(well, and underwear too, but that's not something I'd really like to blog about, you know?). Anyway, today's post is about folding jeans so enjoy!

Okay so on to the tutorial...here is how you can fold jeans like a Denim Queen...if you practice. :)

When you're first starting out learning how to fold jeans like this you'll probably want to start by laying them on a flat surface. Once you've done this a few times you'll be able to fold them without props like a table or floor...but using one of those rolling table things sure did help when you had hundreds of pairs of jeans to fold.

First, lay the jeans out flat.

Second, make sure, if nothing else, that the button on the jeans is done up. If it's not buttoned you may have trouble in the rest of the folding process...just saying. Coming from a pro: button up the jeans BEFORE you fold them. (The zipper being zipped really doesn't matter.)

Third, fold the jeans over in half.

Take the ends of the jeans and fold them up to half-way-up the pockets of the pants. You don't want to go higher than half-way because then the jeans just won't lay right in the stack.

Fold the rest of top of the jeans down to meet the middle of the bottom fold. And there you have it. Now if you're folding to stack on shelves you'd do this slightly different, but overall this is how I still fold jeans and it works amazingly! Sometimes I miss my old job of folding denim...

Anyway, that's how you can fold denim like a Denim Queen...if you're interested. :)

Philosophy Soul Owner & Footnotes

Hello Lovelies!
Isn't the weather amazing?! We are currently having a heat wave in Ireland and the heat is just unreal, I'm afraid to even step out into the sun without being slathered in SPF because I fear I will just burst into flames! Yesterday I actually started my new job in Boots which was amazing! I'm so excited about it!
Lately I was lucky enough to be sent some Philosophy products to review. I have never tried any of Philosophy's products but heard nothing but good things about them so of course I jumped at the chance! I was sent the"Soul Owner" Foot Cream and "Footnotes" Foot Scrub. Now I'll be honest before I tried these products I was never really a foot girl. I would paint my toe nails but never really go any more than that with it. I have never really used anything specifically for my feet and I just never paid that much attention to them. I'm sure this will send some people into complete and utter shock but to be honest I don't normally have my feet on display anyway! But since it is getting hotter and I'm breaking out the sandals and flip flops I decided it was time to embrace the foot care!
Once I received them I put them to the test straight away, and having not paid much attention to my feet before you can only imagine the state they were in (I won't go into details) so I was expecting great things..and I wasn't disappointed! The Footnotes foot scrub just amazed me. First off it smells of Lavender and contains both Lavender and Eucalyptus oil. The exfoliant in it is really fine and gritty, perfect for getting all the dead skin off the bottoms of my feet! It was a lot more of a watery consistency than I was expecting so that was a bit of a surprise the first time I used it!  It also felt lovely and moisturising which was so nice because theres nothing worse than that dry, itchy feeling you can get after any kind of exfoliating!
Now on to my personal favourite, the Soul Owner Foot Cream. It says it's an exfoliating foot cream and to be honest I haven't really noticed much of that but that may be because I'm using it directly after my scrub and I just can't tell. Again this smells of lavender which is so lovely and relaxing to use just before bed. It's so soothing and nice it would just send me straight to sleep! It's such a thick, creamy consistency that it just feels like such a luxurious treat for your feet!
My feet have improved so much since I've started to use these two products. They feel so soft and I don't feel as ashamed as I used to when I wear sandals! This little foot treat set is available online at QVC here! I'll definitely be checking out some more of their products, I'm currently eyeing up a few moisturisers that they have on their site!

Have you tried these products? What are your thoughts? What other Philosophy products would you recommend me to try?

Soap & Glory Righteous Butter

Hello Lovelies!
I hope you are all having a brilliant weekend and if you're in Ireland I hope you are enjoying your long weekend! Now I have a new obsession, I have loved Righteous Butter for a long time now but I have become a woman obsessed the past few weeks! I recently ran out of my Smoothie Star body moisturiser (sob) so I have gone back to my old faithful The Righteous Butter.
This has the classic Soap & Glory scent that everyone seems to love. It's been compared to Miss Dior Cherie  so if you like that you will definitely be a fan of this! It is such an amazing body moisturiser for such a bargainous price! It is definitely a lot thicker than other body moisturisers that I have used in the past so I would tend to use this more so at night time to give my body a deep moisturisation! I absolutely adore this, even the packaging looks pretty! I would recommend you just go smell this if nothing else. It is absolutely divine!

Maybelline Rocket Mascara

Hello Lovelies!
Yes I know what your thinking..not another mascara review..But stick with me on this one I swear its worth it!  You will probably have heard all the ranting and raving going on about the Maybelline Rocket mascara. Now when I was going to buy this I did actually do a little online research and to be honest I did come across a lot of mixed reviews so I thought I would just give my two cents!
What I want most in a mascara is volume, and lots of it! So when I seen the massive, thick brush on this mascara I was hoping it would give me my desired volume. Admittedly I did find the brush a little difficult to work with, getting into the inner lashes proved a little difficult. But overall I did really like the brush. It separated the lashes lovely while coating them completely in product. The volume you get from this mascara is fantastic. If you are a length girl this definitely is not the mascara for you, it gives very little length but tonnes of volume. You can layer this mascara but be careful because it is very easy to cross into clumping territory!
Since I curl my lashes everyday another thing I do expect is for my mascara to hold the curl throughout the day which thankfully the Rocket did! It does come in a waterproof version but I tried the normal one and didn't have any problems with it smearing or dropping down.
I would definitely recommend this mascara to all the ladies out there who love a good volumised lash. It is available online here for €11.99

I also just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that was kind enough to nominate me for the Irish Blog Awards. It really does mean the world to me!

Bourjois Cream Blush | Healthy Glow & Rose Tender

Hello Lovelies!

If you follow me on twitter you will have read all about my excitement about the releases of these products! I was so excited because if you know me you know I am a massive fan of cream blushes so for there to be a new release on the high street excited me no end! It did take me a little while to get my hands on them though, when I was in London I did see them in Boots but to be honest I wasn't blown away by them. I swatched the testers and thought they felt really horrible and chalky so I walked away empty handed. But then by the time I got home the blogosphere had completely fallen in love with them and after reading many reviews I started to think that the testers were just abit bad so I continued on my hunt for them! I eventually bit the bullet and ordered 02 Healthy Glow online, starting using it and fell in love. Less than a week later I won a Bourjois Twitter competition and I recieved 03 Rose Tender.

Healthy Glow does exactly what it says on the tin, it literally gives you the warmest healthy glow ever. I have been on the hunt for a peach coloured cream blush for quite awhile and this is right up my street. It looks amazing with a tan! Rose Tender I save for my paler days, it gives you a lovely rose-y look (nice naming there Bourjois!) and really warms up my complexion on days where I'm not wearing any tan.

I normally apply these blushes with my fingers and either blend using my fingers or my Real Techniques Stippling brush. They're not a traditional cream blush formula either, they're not as watery as normal cream blushes. They are said to be a cream to powder formula but once applied they're not completely matte or powdery looking. They just give the right amount of sheen on the cheeks in my opinion and they look really nice and natural!

I think I will just have to pick up the other two colours in this range! Have you tried these blushes? What are your thoughts?

Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturiser

Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturiser

Hello Ladies!

Let me introduce you to my latest obsession, the Vaseline Spray & Go moisturiser. Now I'm going to tell you a little secret. I actually hate moisturising, I think it's so much effort and waiting for it all to sink in is just the worst, especially if you want nothing more than to just go to bed! Being the tan-aholic that I am we all know the number one rule is to moisturise, moisturise, moisturise!

Enter Vaseline's brilliant new product, the Spray & Go. This ingenious idea cuts down my moisturising routine time by half! I literally do a light spray across my body, a little rub in if needed and I'm good to go! At first I was abit apprehensive about the spray because I thought it would come out in a squirt and you would have to rub it in properly yourself. But I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it comes out in a continuous mist. It still gives the same moisturisation that a normal moisture does too! The smell of the Cocoa Butter one is just devine. There are three versions of the moisturiser, the gorgeous oh so lovely Cocoa Radiant, the Essential Moisturise and the Aloe Fresh version.

I would definitely recommend you give this a go if you are like me and a tad on the lazy side when it comes to moisturising, it is life changing! They are exclusive to Boots at the moment so if you want to give it a go you can get it online here for €6.16/£4.99  If you have tried this please let me know what you thought and what one you tried. I think I'll have to get the Aloe Fresh version next!
